How To Find a Luxury Tour in Melbourne

Writer's picture: Emanuel PanaitEmanuel Panait

Finding a luxury day tour in Melbourne is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I am going to share my experience while I was looking for the very simple keyword

Luxury Day Tour Melbourne.

I was trying to actually make a list of expensive tours in Melbourne and Australia.

After a frenetic search in which I couldn't find much, the situation became so funny and hilarious, that I had to write about it.

I attached the snippets for you guys to see the experience.

The Experience

Date: 11 March 2023 approx. 01.00 pm

Search engine: The mighty Google.

The first sponsored ad: was Viator which had a more than half-page ad with a website not working.

Then I followed the second ad, and I press the link: what do you think I found?

Luxury escapes tour in South Africa. It's kind of far away, isn't it?

Next on the list is Melbourne Elite Tours. I clicked on the link and try to find a luxury tour to Phillip Island.

This is the first page with a few options to choose from.

I scroll the gallery and choose Phillip Island.

So I choose the first option Phillip Island Day Tour. I check Overview, Highlights, and what's included and still can't find a price. So I pressed Book Now and the price is $450.

Then I press Book Now again and get a little surprise: The final price is actually 458.55

Then I click back to see the Phillip Island Private Tour, a possible answer to my keyword Luxury Day Tour. A luxury day tour could be private so I don't know at this stage if it is indeed luxury. So I press on Phillip Island Private Tour. You get similar features. If you look at what's included I saw Moonlit Sanctuary, which is in Mornington Peninsula, way too far from Phillip Island. So I think that a careless employee did a mistake. But it's a luxury one and you should not have any excuses. Or if indeed they go to Moonlit Sanctuary is nothing but a Phillip Island Tour. It does include an upgraded Penguin Parade View and a 2-course dinner, and I click the book button to see the price.

The price is: $1600 before the checkout

Press Book Now to see the final price. Checkout is $1630.

I have spent already one hour searching.

Up to now, I found: A non-working website, a misleading link, and a possible careless mistake. So I don't give up and check the next result on Google search: onlyluxe.com.au Luxury Victoria Travel -they met me with an annoying pop-up and left the site instantly.

As I know we have a similar Phillip Island Day Tour on Phillip Island I tried to keep searching to find it.

The only way to find it is to actually search the keyword: Phillip Island Prestige Day Tour

You can find us on the right side of the search page with:

  • Our hourly rate

  • Phillip Island Tour with price per person, our luxury SUV parked in front of Nobbies Centre Ventor,

  • Few other services we offer to our customers.

The left half page is advertising which doesn't provide any clues whatsoever and is totally irrelevant to the keyword.

In conclusion:

How do you find a good luxury tour from Melbourne and in our case to Phillip Island?

  1. Contact us with any luxury tour ideas that you may have and we'll do everything possible to get the utmost out of it. Whatever your wildest luxury tour ideas may be, we're here to make them a reality (or at least get pretty close to it). Whether it's sipping margaritas on a private beach or getting a massage from a unicorn (okay, we can't actually promise the latter). And remember, we can't guarantee that George Clooney (or he might like my post and actually come on a tour with us) will be there to personally serve you your drinks, but we'll do our best to make it feel like he is. While we are active, mostly in Phillip Island we can do all of Victoria and interstate.

  2. Subscribe to our newsletter https://www.phillipislandprestige.com.au/newsletter We have new fantastic upcoming tours!

  3. Share our website www.phillipislandprestige.com.au

  4. Sign Up on our website www.phillipislandprestige.com.au

  5. Email us to bookings@phillipislandprestige.com.au

  6. If you have to search make sure to include Phillip Island Prestige in the keyword.

Safe Journey and Happy Travels!
